The past few weeks have been a whirlwind to say the least! We welcomed our sweet, sweet angel baby November 23 at 8:42am and our lives and hearts were changed forever at that moment. It was such an amazing day and still feels like a dream. I have been meaning to blog about everything so that I never forget all the special details of the day we met our little Wilson Cash. It was so wonderful having Frank's mother and father here for the days leading up to and the week following Cash's arrival. I will NEVER be able to thank or repay Sue for her support and love while she was here. It really does all feel like a dream because it was all just so perfect. She made our transition home so easy and carefree..always waiting on everyone, cleaning, cooking, taking care of our pups, and of course snuggling her first grandson. She is such a blessing. We love you so much NANA Sue. It was so sweet to see her with Cash. I know they will always have a special bond. It was EXTREMELY hard to say goodbye. This momma cried and cried for two days. I just want/need her closer and I think Cash does too. I know if it is God's plan it will happen one day. Until then, we will just have to cherish the times we do have together and I sure will cherish those two weeks. The good news is she is coming BACK!!! The whole Conroy gang will be here for Christmas in just a few short weeks! YIPPEE! It is gonna be a full house for sure. I LOVE it!! It might get a little crazy, but isn't that what Christmas is all about? It isn't the presents or decorations...it is about spending time with the ones you love and celebrating Jesus Christ. That is exactly what we will be doing on Cash's first Christmas..all together! I just wish all my Memphis family could come too! It is super hard living far from everyone. We just miss all our family so much..especially around the holidays.
So, back to my favorite little person....He is PERFECT! I am that crazy, annoying girl on facebook who posts no less than 100,555,000,000 pictures to facebook EVERY DAY! It is hard not too..he is just so darn cute! I am sure I have lost some friends on my feed these past two weeks but I don't care...Nana Sue and all Cash's family away need to see him and that is the easiest way to let them see him all day...and when your day consists of feeding, rocking, feeding, rocking...getting on facebook and posting pics passes the time. I just don't want to miss or forget a second of these days. They are so fleating so I want to cherish every second.
Frank and I feel like he changes every day. He is growing every second right before our eyes. I know he has to grow and every stage will bring us a different type of happiness; but it is hard for me to think about him getting bigger. I want him to stay this little forever (but maybe sleep through the night). He is just the sweetest little baby. Don't get me wrong..he can scream! Oh boy can he scream! He has no in between button..he is either asleep, awake and content or screaming bloody murder! He usually only screams when he is hungry (about every three hours). As soon as he starts eating he is good to go. It is so funny the way he gets so worked up then...BAM...calm! Ha!! He has two parents that like to eat too, so we understand. He is eating every three hours during the day and goes from 9-2 at night (will try to push that to 3 soon) and then up again at 6am and 9am..so not too bad for being breastfed! We give him a breastmilk bottle at the 9pm feed to make sure he gets enough to sustain him till 2am. He wolfs down 4ounces..hungry boy! He is a little burpy/gassy and I think that bothers him sometimes, but other than that he is content. He LOVES to be swaddled and sleep in his bed with his sound machine going. I think he just gets his best rest that way. We try to get at least two naps in his crib a day and the others he will take on walks or in the car or in his swing. He loves all those things too. He is also a big SUCKER...loves his paci..but only the newborn green ones from the hospital. I tried the NUK and another kind and he acted like it was gagging him..drama king! ha!
So all in all he is a wonderful baby and such a blessing. We hope he stays this way. We feel very lucky that so far he is pretty content and happy. Frank and I both LOVE being parents. We are just one happy family. The doggies are another story (well Amelia at least). Weeza seems to love her brother. She is always watching him and sitting by him. She loves to sniff and lick him. Amelia seems to be taking a bit longer to accept him. She seems a little sad. She just remembers when she was the only child and probably misses those days. Poor girl. They are still getting tons of loving. We walk them when we take Cash and make sure they get tons of kisses. They just don't get as much snuggle time with mommy because Cash is usually taking that time up. We will eventually get in a routine and they hopefully will grow to love and protect him.
I know this post is SUPER long and probably SUPER boring to most, but it is my little memory log. Like I said, I don't want to ever forget these days so I am going to try to be better and do weekly posts about little Cash so one day I can look back at my first days as a mommy. I know these are going to be my best memories. We are just so in love (did I already say that?). We are also very thankful for all our many blessings. We feel very blessed. All our friends and family have also been so amazing. Thanks to everyone who has come to visit or sent goodies to Cash. You have all made us feel very loved. Cash can't wait to meet everyone near and far!
I better wrap this LONG post up because time is running out before the next feeding. Such is life these days...our poor Christmas tree is still sitting bare and the lights outside are still not finished but it will get done one day soon. We have more important things to attend to these days. Here are a few sweet images of our little angel.
