Baby Shower Love and BFF's

Boy..what a week. This girl is pooped and it is only Thursday. It has been a WONDERFUL week though and is only going to get better! My BESTEST, most amazing, most fun, most beautiful friend and her little guy will be here in TWO HOURS!!!! AHHH!!!!!! I cannot wait to get my hands on her and her precious little boy. I miss her so stinking much. The last time we saw eachother was when she was here back in Feb. WAAAYY TOO LONG!!! So much has changed since then. She may not even recognize the big beast I have become. Ha!!! It is so hard to live so far from her, but what's amazing is that she has remained my number one gal even with the distance. I am so lucky to have her in my life. She is just the most genuine, loyal, loving woman. I can't wait for this fun weekend. I just know it will go by too fast. I may have to hold her hostage. An added bonus for the weekend is that her sister in law (and another good friend) Erin and her little boy Greyson will be here too. Wow, this is going to be a fun filled visit. Frank and I will get a taste of toddlerhood! What is funny is that when Nicole came back in the spring with little Luca we realized that having an 8 month old was pretty darn hard at times. We "decided" at the time that we would wait a little longer before we really started trying to start a family!!!! HAHAHAHA!!! Little did we know that our little guy had already planted himself in my uterus! OOOPPS!!! God had other plans for these two. The goal this weekend is to not get too stressed about the fact that we are going to have our own crazy little man in a little over four weeks; and to realize that there is only one of him (not two) and he won't be a toddler right away. Should be interesting. No turning back now.

Another WONDERFUL thing that happened this week was my work baby shower. It was PERFECT. Anna and Katherine did such a great job with all the little details. Anna's house looked beautiful as always and she was just the cutest little hostess. Cash racked up on tons of cute goodies and money for his carseat (that's good since you kind of have to have that one). I am so thankful to have such wonderful women in my life who care enough to take the time to show the love to baby and me. Anna and KK came up with the funniest game that was just PERFECT for my crazy butt. Pin the SPERM on the UTERUS!!! Anna drew a big uterus on a poster and made little sparkly sperm to pin to the board. SO fun and original. We all had a blast with that one. My sister was even here to celebrate and that made it all the more special. The only thing missing was KK....who just had to go and start the process of having baby Tyler! We all knew it was gonna happen. She is so crazy. She brought all the goodies she had for the shower over to Anna's and then made Anna do her makeup all while having contractions. I know little Anna was freaked out. She kept telling KK to get her butt to the hospital but KK was determined she was coming back to the shower and wanted her makeup to be done just in case. LMAO!!! Typical. Well, little Tyler ( I mean BIG 10 pound Tyler) didn't make it that day, but came via section Monday morning after a long, hard labor. KK did AMAZING and baby and momma are home doing well. She is such a strong woman. It was so surreal to get to see and hold that sweet boy after seeing him grow in his momma's belly. Can't wait for him and Cash to be together. So I am up to bat now. Anna will be soon after me and then all the boys will be together. It is going to be a fun spring being a new mommy with those two (and with Tessa who had baby Kinley in August). The lone girl leading the boys!

The hostess (and the cutest little momma ever)...KK was there in spirit!

Sister LOVE

Sweet little lamby cupcakes..Strawberry of course
Anna made Cash two cute signs for his room..that boy should know his initials by one year since they are EVERYWHERE in his room!

Gotta have the onsie stickers..thanks KK

The super fun game!

Cash's sperm even had a W on it for Wilson

Tessa looking GORG after just having a baby in August!

Baby boy is for sure growing BIG, BIG in my belly these days. I think he must have had a growth spurt over the weekend because I can really feel him in there these days. He starts right under my chest and goes all the way down to no man's land. HA!! He is so active at night when I work. People probably get so sick of me saying feel this or look at that. I am just not used to seeing him so active and will never get over the fact that I can feel body parts in my belly. When I was holding baby Tyler he was just a kicking and squirming. He must know that was his best bud I was snuggling. I am feeling pretty good these days. Still counting down till his arrival. Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

34 weeks!!!!

Or should I say...six weeks to go????!!!!! The human incubator is getting ready to explode!!! Frank and I are so ready to meet our baby boy we can hardly stand it. Everything is pretty much ready to go for the little guy and now we are just waiting. I had my 34 week appointment yesterday and everything is looking good. My BP was a little high at 140/72 but the doctor didn't seem too concerned. No protein in my urine and I worked the night before so I was running on not much sleep. Little guy's measuring normal and his heart rate was a strong 150. I asked the doctor if she was one to let me go WAY past my due date (like to 42 weeks) and she said she really didn't think that would happen. She said at most she would let me go to 41 weeks. I am pretty happy about that. So, if not right before Thanksgiving, then the week after we will meet our little boy. I feel like I have been waiting for this day my whole life. I kind of have in a way. I always knew I wanted to be a mom and when I met Frank I knew I for sure wanted to have a family with him. We have been playing the name game and wondering what our children would be like for years and being six weeks away from meeting our first is just sureal for us both I think.

We had our maternity pics done by the wonderful and sweet Amy Prikazsky last week at Boone Hall Plantation. If you are in the Charleston area she is great! She is priced so reasonable and really a nice person. I think our pictures turned out great. Some are of course a little funny since we felt a little strange, but all in all I am VERY pleased. We got some really cute ones. I can't wait for her to take Cash's newborn photos. I know those suckers will be plastered ALL OVER my WALLS!!!

Cash's STATS

  • You are the size of an "average cantaloupe" per Baby Tracker (ha, whatever that means!)
  • You weigh aprox 4.75 to 5.25lbs.
  • You are around 18 inches long.
  • You are a mover and a shaker! Always swimming around and coming to the surface.
  • You started having hiccups (well that I can feel) over the weekend and mommy LOVES them.
  • Mommy is LARGE and IN CHARGE and VERY worried about how things are going to look after you come..it aint gonna be PRETTY!
  • Symptoms.....heart burn (like the sleep sitting straight up kind..YUCK!), lower back pain (as usual), leg swelling (nothing new) and the newest lovely sign that I am nearing the end is that you sometimes like to sit on a nerve or artery that makes me feel like I can't breathe and my heart is racing. Hands usually swell within seconds too! It is a little on the scary side. Doc said that it is normal of course so I will live I guess.
  • All in all, mommy still feels pretty great! I mean she is carrying the best gift in the WORLD so it is all worth it.

I really do feel like I am carrying a pumpkin around sometimes..
This past weekend, Frank and I just hung out around the house and relaxed. I made a little scrapbook of my pregnancy with all our trips and Cash's room and ultrasound pics. It turned out pretty darn cute. I hope I can keep up with his photos and memories once he is here (ha!). I will at least try I guess. We added a bookshelf in his room because we were running out of space to keep his things. The room is so tiny and is now stuffed to the gills with baby goodies! It is still pretty cute though.

This week I am setting up a pediatrician appointment to get that ball rolling and my sister will be in town Friday. My work shower is this Sunday. I cannot wait to see all the cute things my little Anna and KK have done to make the day special. They are so sweet to be doing this. Hope everyone has a great rest of the week and weekend.

Halloween TOWN and Extreme Couponing!

It's been a while..AGAIN! So I guess I'm going to end up being one of those bloggers that posts every blue moon and I am ok with that. I am pretty sure no one reads this thing but my hubby and a few family members so I am not too worried! We have been getting geared up for Halloween in the Conroy household this week. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this time of year. From now until after New Years I am one happy girl. The weather has started to cool and I am in HEAVEN! We have had the windows open every night since Saturday! It feels so good to let the fresh, crisp air in. I think the pups like it too because they can be outside for longer since they can actually breathe again. I think I may be one of the only people in the world that gets cabin fever in the summer! HA! I just can't stand to be in the 100 degreee heat (especially preggers) so I stay inside for the most part.

This fall is EXTRA special of course since the little man will be making his debut. WE CANNOT WAIT!!! We are so freaking exciting around here! He has been making his presence know 24/7 in my belly lately too! I just LOVE, LOVE feeling him move all around. I will never get enough of that feeling. He comes right up with his hands, feet, elbows and says, "hi mom, whatcha doin?" Ha! Oh how I love this little boy so much already! I guess I should do a preggo stats at some point since I don't think I have in a while. Maybe tommorrow or Friday I will post one so I can remember what was happening at 33 weeks! That will be two posts in one week so we will just have to see (might be too much for me to handle!)

Today, Frank and I had our maternity pic session. It was SUPER uncomfortable feeling and who knows how they will turn out. I LOVE having our engagement and wedding pics to look at all the time, but posing for them NEVER gets easy (esp. when you feel like a whale). Hopefully the fake gazing into eachother's eyes and make believe laughs will turn out to make for good photos! Frank is a pro at it. He is so funny! He always says he doesn't want to take them, but he gets all ZOOlander when it comes time to pose. He is a regular ole' model that man! ha! After, my friend Anna and I had a girls day. We had so much fun running around. I'm so glad I have a friend like her to be preggo with. We are going to have so much fun with our little boys this spring.

After I left Anna's I headed to CVS to get my couponing on! It was an adventure to say the least. I am trying really hard to get good at the whole extra care buck thing and trying to save as much as I can. I decided this week to do seperate transactions on things to go ahead and use my bucks on each transaction. I ended up spending 76.99 total and saved 45.30 with my coupons and extra care bucks. My total savings if you count the things being on sale was 77.73. WOW!!! I got a huge thing of Charmin and Bounty, Tide, gatorade, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, starbucks coffee drinks, mouthwash, toothpaste, halloween candy, diapers, wipes, Downy and a bunch more (all name brand too)! I was so proud of myself. I usually go several times in a week and just use the extra care bucks each day and get more each time, but I decided to try to do it all in one trip. I don't think I will do that anymore. People were looking at me like I was crazy with all those coupons and seperate transactions. I started sweating and getting all flustered! It was pretty funny. The CVS is walking distance from my house so I will just make a couple trips a week to get the deals from now on. I am just not good at all those transactions! ha!

When I got home I decided to have a craft night since Frank was working late. I have had a TON of energy today and am LOVING it. I made a cute halloween wreathe for the front door. I don't know what has gotten in to me lately with all my crafting. I made Cash a little rocking chair, made a nightlight for him and all my preggo friends, and now a halloween wreathe. I guess I am getting pretty domestic. I know I won't have much time after he comes so I am getting them all in now.

My masterpiece!

I think it turned out pretty cute. Frank and I got all our halloween decor out on Sunday so it is looking pretty spooky around here. We both LOVE to decorate and he especially likes Halloween. It was so nice to get some of our outdoor stuff we bought at the old house out again. This is our first year to get to use alot of our decorations since we were in the apartment the last two.

We have a mix of Fall stuff and creepy Halloween stuff!

Love Mr Pumpkin!

I of course LOVE SPARKLE pumpkins too!

Creepy!

Our mini graveyard!

He scares me!

Conroy Halloween porch!

Finished front door with my new wreathe!

He is looking a little slouchy these days!

We are all ready for trick or treaters. It has been a good weekend/start of the week around here. I know the rest of the Fall will be even better. I hope whoever reads this thing has a good rest of the week too! Happy FALL!!!
